About Me

My name is Brian Hoary. I currently live in Galway city in the west of Ireland. I studied animation at the Institute of Art and Design, Dun Laoghaire where I graduated with an honours degree in 2009. My graduate film 'Safety Brief' was chosen to be shown at the Galway Film Fleadh the same year.

I have always been passionate about animation since seeing the original Wallace and Gromit shorts. I enjoy working in all forms of animation, both 2D and 3D, but tend to prefer the flexibility of working with computers.

After graduating I found a job at A Man & Ink Ltd. in Galway working on "Ishaafan", an animated TV show for a broadcast client in the United Arab Emirates. Since then I have worked with Kavaleer Productions in Dublin on "Monster High" animated webisodes.

Most recently I have been working for Monster Distributes in Dublin as character animator on the television series "I'm a Monster", which will begin broadcast in September 2011. I continually enjoy working on developing my portfolio and learning new skills.
